The origin story
Some people discover their passion gradually. Mine started with a disassembled computer at age 10.
My parents saved for months to buy our first machine. Within a few days, I had it in pieces on the floor. They were convinced I had just destroyed a significant investment. I was just trying to understand how it worked. That instinct never left.
I started my career in the public sector, working for the City of New York. I came in as a graphic designer, which is a polite way of saying I talked my way in before my CS degree was finished. From there I transitioned into development, built my own projects, grew my own teams, and eventually landed in AI engineering, where I spend most of my time now.
How I think
I don't start building until I understand what I'm building and why.
Research
Understand the full problem space before forming an opinion.
First Principles
Strip it down to fundamentals and reason from the ground up.
Ideate
Map every option, weigh the tradeoffs, understand long-term impacts.
Document
Spec every decision thoroughly before touching code.
Build
Implementation starts last. By then, the hard thinking is done.

Outside of work
I'm a builder by nature. If I'm not writing software, I'm usually working on something with my hands.
On the slopes, "safe and cautious" isn't really my style. I enjoy going to places that push my limits, whether that's a difficult ski run, traveling somewhere unfamiliar, or getting into a conversation that challenges how I think.
What drives me
I'm drawn to the science and practice of human potential. How people perform under pressure, break through mental limits, and build genuine resilience. These four frameworks have been instrumental in my journey.
I enjoy philosophical discussions, going down rabbit holes to figure out what's actually true, and conversations with people who aren't afraid of a challenging opinion. I have a lot of them. Whether I share depends entirely on who's asking.
